In situ waste management declaration

Hello dear interested parties,

based on the following explanations, I will explain to you the advantages you have when you divide your planning space into  cell references.

Here you can see the Trier Imperial Baths, which have been chosen as an example of a planning space. In the first example, the top meter of the planning space is to be excavated and disposed of or recycled according to waste management regulations.

To create declaration analyses, a small grid of 5 meters by 5 meters and a large grid of 25 meters by 25 meters were placed over the plot of land where the Trier Imperial Baths are located. The cells of the small grid were named using  cell references. The midpoint coordinates of the grid cells of both the small and large grids are included in the workbook provided to you, allowing the grid cells to be easily located on-site. The large grid was numbered and labeled with consecutive numbers. The division of grid sizes can be adjusted according to your preferences and needs. To create the grid, we only need the desired grid size from you, as well as information regarding the delineation of the planning area on a site plan or the coordinates of the northernmost, easternmost, southernmost, and westernmost points of your planning area in a coordinate system of your choice.

A grid cell of the large grid with an area size of 625 m² contains a total of 25 grid cells of the small grid in our example. For instance, the large grid cell 44 contains the 25 small grid cells X15:AB19. If we take individual samples from these 25 small grid cells and combine them according to the guidelines of LAGA PN 98 to form the composite sample MP 44, this composite sample can be used for waste regulatory declaration for borehole depths less than one meter. The composite sample then represents a waste volume of approximately 500 m³.

You will receive an workbook with the worksheet named "QGIS". In this worksheet, there is a column labeled "Attribute" where you can enter the result for the waste regulatory declaration for each grid cell. The result of your entry in the "Attribute" field will be displayed on the worksheet named "DISPOSAL MATRIX". On the "QGIS" worksheet, you can certainly insert additional columns, for example, for entering measurement data or calculations.

A grid cell of the large grid with an area size of 625 m² contains a total of 25 grid cells of the small grid in our example. For example, the large grid cell 44 contains the 25 small grid cells X15:AB19. If we now take individual samples from these 25 small grid cells and combine them according to the guidelines of LAGA PN 98 to form the composite sample MP 44, this composite sample can be used for waste regulatory declaration for borehole depths less than one meter. The composite sample then represents a waste volume of approximately 500 m³.

On the following picture, the generated grid was exported to QGIS. To do this, you only need to save the content of the worksheet as a CSV file. Now, there is the possibility to visualize the columns contained in the table (e.g., measurement data, attributes, etc.) on a map of your choice. I am also available to assist in creating such maps.
